Update for GPSC 2019:

  • Gujarat Administrative Service (Class-I) Mains 2019 examination is scheduled on 23 Feb, 8 March and 15 March 2020. Results of Mains will be expected in the month of June 2020.
  • GPSC 2019 Prelims took place on 13th October 2019. 3946 candidates have been declared provisionally qualified in the Combined Competitive (Preliminary) Exam conducted by the Gujarat Public Service Commission.

In the year 2020, GPSC will conduct the exams for the following posts.

  1. Gujarat Administrative Service, Class-I and Gujarat Civil Service Class-I and Class-II
  2. Class-I and Class-II posts of Gujarat Service of Engineering (Civil)
  3. Reporter (Gujarati, English, Hindi), Class-II, Gujarat Legislative Secretariat
  4. Private Secretary (Gujarati & English Stenographer, Grade-I), Class-II
  5. Range Forest Officer, Class-II
  6. Deputy Section Officer, Deputy Mamlatdar and Commercial Tax Inspector, Class-III
  7. Legal Assistant, Class-III
  8. Translator, Class-III, Information Department
  9. Translator/Research Assistant, Class-III, Office of the Director of Languages
  10. Translator, Class-III, Office of Legal Department
  11. Translator, Class-III, Gujarat Legislative Secretariat
UPSC 2020
IAS toppers recommend starting UPSC preparation at least one year before the Prelims Exam Date. The Union Public Service Commission has released the official exam calendar for 2020 on their official website. Serious aspirants should kickstart their UPSC 2020 preparation as soon as possible as the Civil Services Exam is a comprehensive and highly competitive exam that needs no introduction.

The Civil Services Exam (IAS Exam) comprises three stages:

UPSC Prelims – 2 papers – objective type questions
UPSC Mains – 9 papers – descriptive-essay type
IAS Interview or UPSC Personality Test

The first stage of the exam is UPSC Prelims where candidates are filtered out for the Mains stage of the exam. The final merit list is prepared based on the candidates’ marks in Mains + Interview.
